POSITION OVERVIEWApplications accepted from: All Persons InterestedService Line: Houston Water/Drinking Water OperationsReporting Location: Houston, TX*Workdays & Hours: Mon - Fri, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm** Subject to changeDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThis position requires experience in performing moderately complex, skilled technical installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and process equipment. Duties include, but not limited to, system evaluations to make recommendations for process improvements. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLC issues regarding Analog Inputs/Output, Digital Input/Output, Rack Power Supplies, UPS Systems, and associated wiring. Repairs and calibrates all components of process control and analytical systems; troubleshoots and repairs both digital and analog electronic equipment to the component level. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure the work performed is of acceptable quality and that the scope of work has been achieved. Periodic inspection of completed PM/CMs for quality and reliability will be required. Documentation of daily activities in the Work Management System (INFOR) and maintaining preventive maintenance records.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position may involve considerable physical exertion, such as regular climbing of ladders, lifting of heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) on an occasional basis and/or assuming awkward positions for long periods of time.
