Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to own and scale the company’s technical accounting and financial reporting function as the business grows rapidly. You will manage the end-to-end financial reporting process and own research and memos for complex areas like leases, revenue, and equity.

The role partners with Accounting Operations, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Infrastructure, Engineering, and Revenue Operations to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718; plus ASC 808/ASC 350-40 a plus.
• Experience supporting external audits with clear documentation.
• Ability to write clear, well-reasoned technical accounting memos.
• Experience documenting processes via flowcharts, narratives, and control matrices.
• Comfort translating non-standard transactions into supported accounting positions.
• Experience with ERP systems and large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process.
• Lead technical accounting research, conclusions, and memo documentation.
• Manage lease accounting end-to-end under ASC 842; new leases, modifications, disclosures.
• Oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606 with cross-functional partners.
• Develop and socialize accounting policies across revenue, leases, equity, and partnerships.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Tax, Engineering, and Revenue Ops on complex transactions.
