Job summary

NPAworldwide seeks a Technical Field Advisor (Rotating Equipment Specialist) to support installation, commissioning, overhaul, and troubleshooting of critical rotating equipment at customer sites across North America. The role involves extensive travel and on-site work, with occasional overseas project support.

You will represent the OEM as Technical Field Advisor (TFA), generate detailed Field Service Reports, and assist in planning, preparation, and proposals for major outages.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a rotating equipment role.
• Experience with OEMs or independent service providers in the Oil & Gas or Energy industry.
• Strong working knowledge of steam turbines and centrifugal compressors.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering (plus, not required).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Provide after-sales field services under the direction of the Field Service Manager.
• Install, commission, overhaul, and troubleshoot rotating equipment at customer sites in Oil & Gas and Energy industries.
• Represent the OEM as Technical Field Advisor (TFA).
• Generate detailed and technically sound Field Service Reports.
• Support planning and preparation for jobs and major plant outages.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals for Field Service projects and major plant outages.

Technical Field Advisor (Rotating Equipment Specialist) is a customer-facing role responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, overhaul, and troubleshooting of critical rotating equipment at customer sites within the Oil, Gas, and Energy industries.

This is a full-time position involving extensive travel and on-site work at customer locations across North America, including Canada. Occasional support of overseas projects may also be required.

• Provide after-sales field services under the direction of the Field Service Manager
• Perform installation, commissioning, overhaul, and troubleshooting of critical rotating equipment at customer sites within the Oil, Gas and Energy industries
• Represent the OEM in the role of Technical Field Advisor (TFA)
• Generate detailed and technically sound Field Service Reports
• Support planning and preparation activities for assigned jobs and major plant outages
• Assist in the preparation of technical proposals for Field Service projects and major plant outages

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a rotating equipment role
• Experience working with OEMs or independent service providers in the Oil & Gas or Energy industry
• Strong working knowledge of steam turbines and centrifugal compressors
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering is a plus but not required; relevant experience with rotating equipment in field service is essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project)
• Self-driven and service-oriented
