Role Summary

We’re looking for a hands‑on Rotating Equipment Engineer to support the inspection, repair, and performance optimization of industrial pump systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both shop and field environments and enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring reliability, quality, and safety across a wide range of rotating equipment, including centrifugal, vertical, and multistage pumps.

The main job responsibilities and functions of the Rotating Equipment Engineer are listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change.

  • Lead inspections, teardown, diagnostics, and reassembly of rotating equipment.
  • Develop scopes of work, repair procedures, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Interpret drawings, OEM manuals, and system schematics.
  • Interface with customers on technical assessments, repair plans, and updates.
  • Assist with reverse engineering and equipment upgrades.
  • Perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and deliver actionable reports.
  • Support procurement with technical specs and vendor evaluations.
  • Mentor technicians and junior engineers.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience with rotating equipment (pump experience preferred).
  • Hands‑on skills in alignment, balancing, and condition monitoring.
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Familiarity with API, ANSI, and ASME standards.
  • Strong communication skills for customer‑facing work.
  • Shop/Service Center environment; may require occasional field visits.
  • Exposure to industrial equipment, noise, and fluids.
