Job summary

Velotic is hiring a Technical Fellow, Software to act as a senior technical authority for the Kepware industrial connectivity platform. This individual contributor role drives architectural integrity, technical direction, and solves the most complex engineering challenges across Kepware core platform engineering.

The role partners with Engineering, Architecture, Product, and Quality to shape technology strategy, set technical direction, and raise engineering standards across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Senior engineer/architect with ownership of complex production-grade software systems.
• Experience across the software lifecycle from design to maintenance.
• Proven architectural leadership on large-scale, multi-component products.
• Hands-on engineering capability for design reviews, debugging and perf analysis.
• Experience leading technical work across distributed teams.
• Ability to influence direction and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain architectural direction for the Kepware platform.
• Drive performance, scalability, security, and reliability improvements for critical software.
• Translate business goals into technical strategy with architecture and product teams.
• Provide technical leadership on large initiatives without direct reports.
• Lead design reviews and establish patterns, standards, and quality bars.
• Mentor senior engineers and share knowledge through documentation and forums.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to articulate technology choices.
