Job summary

GoJet Airlines seeks a Technical Engineering Specialist - Structures and Interiors in Bridgeton, MO to maintain structural integrity and interior reliability of the fleet. You will collaborate with maintenance teams, manufacturers, and regulators to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires a strong background in aircraft structures/interiors and engineering analysis, with a focus on documentation, AD/SB implementation, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical or aeronautical discipline.
  • 3 years' experience in structures and interiors engineering in a Part 121 carrier.
  • Must read/write fluently in English.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred or required if not degreed.
  • Basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry for engineering analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Professional Standards per GMM 1 0-1.2.
  • Promote safety as the number one priority in aircraft and personnel.
  • Provide leadership to ensure compliance with FAA, EPA, OSHA, and GoJet policies.
  • Generate engineering documents (EOs) to specify actions for ADs, SBs, alterations, and parts manufacture.
  • Provide engineering support to Maintenance Control, Line Maintenance, and Check Maintenance for structures/interiors.
  • Generate FCDs for fleet inspections.
  • Review SBs/SLs for applicability and fleet impact.
  • Present engineering proposals to MRB as required.
  • Coordinate interior issues with relevant departments.
  • Develop changes to MX-043 for MRB and update index.
  • Create and maintain drawings within the Technical Engineering Drawing System.
  • Review/writing ICA priority releases as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

GoJet Airlines is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Technical Engineering Specialist - Structures and Interiors to join our dynamic Technical Operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the structural integrity and interior reliability of our aircraft fleet. This position involves close collaboration with maintenance teams, equipment manufacturers, and regulatory agencies to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft operations. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Included in position but not limited to:

TheTechnicalEngineering Specialist-Structuresand Interiorsreports directly totheManager, Technical Engineering.Operational control elements, when applicable, always reside with the air carrier.The Specialist provides in-depth knowledge, skill, and experience relating primarily to aircraft Structures and Interiors as well as associated alteration and repair programs.Conducts daily task activities to monitor, assess, and take appropriate actions neededtomaintainaircraftequipmentsafely,reliably,andeconomically.Liaisesdirectlywith equipment manufacturers and service providers to develop and produce technical data and documents used in the maintenance and repair of company aircraft.Provides after-hours engineering support for Maintenance Control during AOG situations.

Theminimumqualificationsforthisposition require:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent level of experience in a mechanical or aeronautical discipline.
  • Atleastthree(3)years’experienceprocessingstructuresandinteriors engineering workinapart121aircarrier(regionalormainline).
  • Musthaveverycompetentoralandwrittencommunicationskills,withtheabilityto read and write fluently in the English language.
  • PossessavalidFAAAirframe&Powerplantlicense(preferred -requiredifnot degreed).
  • Basic mathematical competencies
  • KnowledgeofAlgebra,GeometryandBasicTrigonometrytosupportengineering analysis
  • MusthaveagoodworkingknowledgeofCFRswithemphasisonparts121,91,43,25, 26, 21.
  • MustbeabletoanalyzeAirworthinessDirectivesandmanufacturersservice information.
  • Structuresandinteriorsknowledge/experienceofCRJisdesired;willconsiderother aircraft experience
  • MusthavestrongskillswithMicrosoftOfficeapplicationsandAdobeAcrobat Professional.
  • ExperienceusingAutoCADsoftwaretoproduceengineeringdrawings (preferred).
  • Musthavetheabilitytoprioritizeworkandcoordinatewithvarious groups.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewmanufacturers’serviceinformation(SB,SL,etc.)todetermineapplicabilityand impact to company fleet.
  • PresentengineeringproposalstoMRB,as required.
  • Coordinateinteriorissues(forexample,emergencyequipment,galleyloading)with applicable departments (for example, In-Flight, Flight Operations, and Ground Operations).
  • DevelopchangestoMX-043(s)forpresentationtotheMaintenanceReviewBoard.Once approved, advise IT for updating the MX-043 index.
  • ResponsibleforcreatingandmaintainingdrawingswithintheTechnicalEngineering Drawing System.
  • Responsibleforreviewing/writingICApriortorelease(as required).
  • Other duties as assigned.
