This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of features, enhancements, and support for the client’s customer-facing website and mobile app (iOS & Android). You will oversee cross-functional and distributed software development teams, owning solution delivery, planning, execution, and quality assurance. You will lead discussions with technical architects and team leads to determine solution paths, technology choices, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Hands-on programming experience within the last 5-6 years, with approximately 5% coding involvement.
• Experience with hot-fixes, troubleshooting, and production deployments.
• At least 3 years in a Development or Engineering Manager role overseeing multiple software development teams including web, mobile, backend, and DevOps.
• Experience leading projects on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Intermediate knowledge of DevOps and Test Automation.
• Familiarity with modern web and mobile technologies such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Azure Functions, CI/CD pipelines, Figma, and Jira.
• Ability to create software delivery and release plans aligned with product management.
• Proven ability to communicate progress, KPIs, and blockers to stakeholders and leadership.
• Strong knowledge of web applications, microservices, and industry-standard DevOps practices.
• Leadership skills in managing software development and DevOps teams, delivering high-quality products.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to mentor and guide team members and facilitate decision-making processes.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities:

• Stay updated with industry trends like DevOps, Azure PaaS, serverless, containers, APIs, and microservices, and recommend adoption strategies.
• Ensure software delivery aligns with business requirements and schedules.
• Lead technical teams, translating business priorities into technical solutions.
• Implement best practices in coding standards, reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Mentor team members to foster growth and skill development.
• Experience working with retail or food service clients is a plus.
• Manage offshore or distributed teams effectively.
