Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Technical Engineer to draft topographic maps and support construction projects. You will use CAD tools to create charts and assist in planning airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other facilities as part of a broader engineering team.

You will also perform geodetic surveys and provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction efforts, gaining skills transferable to civilian engineering roles in construction and architecture."

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for enlistment.
• Ability to draw topographic maps and charts using CAD tools.
• Familiarity with geodetic and construction surveys.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using Computer Aided Drafting systems and software.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys and results utilizing Automated Integrated Survey Instruments and Global Positioning Survey Technology.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
