Job Description

- Epic Cogito Administration: The Cogito/Clarity Database Administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Cogito databases to align with the environment strategy.

Responsibilities include:

1. Capacity planning to ensure sufficient system resources.
2. Monitoring database size and health.
3. Creating and managing plans for statistics and index maintenance.
4. Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues, including emergency and after-hours situations.
5. Managing login configurations for different access levels.
6. Performing RDBMS upgrades and updates for both production and non-production environments.
7. Performing regular database backups, verifying restores, and ensuring business continuity through thorough process maintenance and testing.
8. Installing and maintaining administrative and monitoring tools for high availability and performance.
9. Following vendor and Epic best practices for hardware and software configuration.
10. Participating in change control processes for planned technical activities.
11. Collaborating with technical teams and Epic for proactive support.
