Technical Calculation Engineer / Mechanical Analysis Engineer / Structural & Vibration Engineer
On‑Site | Suburban Chicago
Drive Advanced Mechanical Analysis & Product Performance Validation for a Global Engineering Solutions Leader
Are you a mechanically strong engineer who enjoys modeling, structural analysis, vibration performance evaluation, and validating engineered products before they reach the field?
My client, the U.S. division of an established international engineering and manufacturing group, is seeking a Technical Calculation Engineer to support advanced mechanical calculations, structural modeling, vibration studies, and product validation efforts.
This is not a drafting‑only role. This is a high‑impact engineering position where your ability to analyze suspension performance, model structures in SOLIDWORKS, perform vibration studies, and justify product performance through detailed calculation files will directly support customer deliverables and new product development.
If you enjoy turning specifications into engineered reality, participating in product qualification testing, and working at the intersection of analysis, testing, and product development, this role offers strong technical depth and long‑term growth.
The Technical Calculation Engineer is responsible for performing advanced mechanical calculations, structural modeling, and vibration performance analysis in support of customer projects and new product development.
This role combines analytical rigor with hands‑on testing involvement. You will verify technical specifications, calculate suspension performance using specialized software tools, model and analyze structures in SOLIDWORKS, participate in material and vibration test campaigns, and prepare formal documentation validating product performance.
You will work closely with project managers, commercial teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure that all technical studies, calculations, and measurement campaigns meet performance expectations and project requirements.
