Job summary

IBM is seeking a technically curious intern to gain hands-on experience with IBM z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, and system resiliency within the IBM Z WSC Advisory team. You will explore enterprise-class systems, IBM Z labs, and real client environments.

This role offers exposure to rigorous analysis, tailoring technical recommendations, and contributing to resiliency workshops and client education materials for IBM Z events.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Programming in Python, Java, or C.
• Fundamental understanding of enterprise OS and IT infra.
• Networking basics and routing knowledge.
• Familiarity with resiliency concepts in enterprise IT.
• Experience with AI productivity tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of client environments and tailor recommendations for performance and security.
• Coordinate with development teams to address client requests.
• Engage formal support resources to track priorities and issues.
• Support account teams in network-specific client engagements.
• Design resiliency enablement workshops for clients and partners.
• Develop client-facing IBM Z education materials and conference content.
• Assist in designing Parallel Sysplex/resiliency labs for clients.
• Manage workflow of projects using approved PM tools.
• Contribute to client education and nurture pathways focused on z/OS.
