Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Technical Editor to oversee development and publication of mission-critical documents for NETCOM. You will proofread, edit, and refine technical material, ensuring accuracy and clarity in line with Army standards.

The role requires 2+ years of editing experience, familiarity with desktop publishing tools, and the ability to coordinate with contractors and government staff to produce accessible, compliant manuals and documents.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; equivalent years of experience considered.
• 2+ years of related editing/documentation experience.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and publication of technical documentation and manuals.
• Collaborate with NETCOM G3/5 to proofread, review, revise, and edit technical information.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with government standards and NETCOM guidelines.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Adobe tools; apply desktop publishing and multimedia production skills.
