You will translate engineering data into clear, public-ready text, verify references, and manage the full lifecycle from outline to publication, working closely with engineers and developers in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, English, or a related scientific/technical field.
3–10 years of experience in technical writing or documentation.
Expert-level command of the GPO Style Manual.

Responsibilities

Act as the final gatekeeper for high-stakes deliverables, editing technical brochures, standard operating procedures, research reports, technical summaries, and other highly technical documents.
Transform raw data and engineering jargon into authoritative documents meeting stringent agency requirements, including reference checking, fact checking, and copyright compliance.
Ensure complex schematics and data tables integrate seamlessly with narrative text for technical review and public transparency.
Work closely with engineers and developers to distill complex technical concepts into clear communications.
Work independently, managing the full lifecycle of a document from outline to final publication.
