Job summary

Theater Outsource is seeking a hands-on Technical Drafter to lead product development and field operations in Philadelphia. You will help ensure products are practical, well documented, and successfully implemented in the field.

Key tasks include developing installation manuals, specs, cut sheets, and submittals, coordinating testing, and collaborating with suppliers. Regular travel across the U.S. supports quoting and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. product-development efforts, including construction, cost considerations, installation guidance, and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate product testing for safety, quality, performance, and standards.
• Research and specify materials focusing on durability, sustainability, performance, and cost.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers on components and solutions.
• Develop and maintain installation manuals, maintenance guides, specs, cut sheets, and submittals.
• Travel to job sites to support quoting, assess readiness, troubleshoot field issues, and advise next steps.
• Review complex specs and drawings to provide technical solutions for existing and new products.
• Support quotes, cost optimization, CAD drawings, and technical documentation for key projects.
• Establish quality-control procedures, testing protocols, compliance records, and performance docs.
• Coordinate special product projects, including timelines, budgets, suppliers, and field teams.
• Deliver internal training and continuing-education presentations for clients and partners.
• Support sales and marketing with accurate technical input for data sheets and case studies.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows tied to quoting, installation, documentation, and product implementation.

What You’ll Do
