Job summary

Advantage Technical in Sugar Land, TX seeks a Technical Drafter with at least 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience. Electrical experience is highly desired and familiarity with isometric layouts is a plus.

This is a 6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension, based in our Sugar Land office. Responsibilities include producing engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with quality standards, data entry, and responding to inquiries from engineering or suppliers.

Job description

Our client is seeking a Technical Drafter for their Sugar Land, TX office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Drawings

• Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to create engineering drawings for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Layout drawings and Isometric drawings.

Operational Compliance

• Follow a range of mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.

Data Collection and Analysis

• Perform basic data entry tasks.

Information (Data Specifications)

• Respond to basic queries from engineering or suppliers by providing information, referring more complex issues to others.

SKILLS

• AutoCAD, DraftSight, and SolidWorks are a plus but not required.
