Job summary

Traders Point Christian Church is seeking a technical leader to oversee live AV production at their Whitestown campus. You will guide volunteers, shape the production style, and ensure high-quality audio, video, and lighting for worship services and events.

The role emphasizes team leadership, skill development, and staying current with production tech. Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3+ years in worship production are expected.

Responsibilities

• Shepherd and care for Production volunteer community at their campus.
• Create unforgettable, creative, and inspiring production in collaboration with the Production Director.
• Own and maintain all AVL systems at their campus.
• Recruit, audition, and develop volunteer production teams across TPCC venues.
• Demonstrate growth in knowledge of audio, lighting, video, staging concepts and equipment trends.
• Participate in production/leadership roles during special events and campus changes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Technical Director will not immediately have any full-time staff direct reports, but will provide leadership and supervision to TPCC volunteers.

DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS

• Shepherd and care for Production volunteer community for their campus
• Create unforgettable, creative, and inspiring production in collaboration with the Production Director
• Own and maintain of all AVL systems at their campus
• Execute sustainable processes for recruiting, auditioning, and developing volunteer production teams across all TPCC venues
• Demonstrate active growth in understanding and knowledge of audio, lighting, video, staging concepts, and equipment trends and changes
• Participate fully, as called upon, in production/leadership roles during special events
• Participate fully, as called upon, in implementing set changes at all campuses
• Own and support of all AVL systems in kids spaces
• Perform other duties as required.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Serve under the direct oversight of the Production Director with dotted line oversight from the Campus Pastor
• Participate as a full member of the production staff, attending meetings and special events as required
• Actively engaged at TPCC

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Expert knowledge of audio/video/lighting in the context of worship services
• Expert knowledge of audio/video/lighting signal flows
• Strong audio/video/lighting troubleshooting skills
• Excellent leadership skills with very strong organizational abilities, communication skills, and excellent attention to details.

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Detailed knowledge of live and streaming video environments.
• Familiarity with Allen & Heath, Hog, Blackmagic, Ross Video, Resi, QLab, Propresenter, Ableton, Planning Center, Mac, and PC operating systems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Formal training in production/related discipline or 3+ years of experience with technology in a modern worship production environment.
