Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Vice President, Environmental Remediation Engineer to lead California offices in Oakland, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Petaluma, San Jose, Fresno, Costa Mesa, and San Diego. The role focuses on consulting, selling, designing, and implementing multi‑media remediation programs for Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation clients.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and travel as needed to execute projects and pursue business development.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or related engineering field.
  • California Professional Engineer license (Civil).
  • 12+ years of environmental remediation and sales experience.
  • Strong work ethic and project management experience.
  • Self-starter, team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with remediation/assessment projects involving the Regional Quality Water Quality Control Board, DTSC, or local CUPAs.
  • Ability to mentor and direct engineers and technicians.
  • Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board, and other CA EPA programs.
  • Consulting experience with petroleum contamination cleanup (soil and groundwater) and/or chlorinated solvent contamination.
  • Experience with soil gas and vapor intrusion issues.
  • Developing and managing complex engineering design and design-build projects.
  • Oversee remedy construction and operation/maintenance of environmental projects.
  • Pass drug test, physical, background check; valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Job Overview

WSP is seeking a high‑level professional to advance our environmental consulting business in California and the West. The role focuses on consulting, selling, managing, designing, and implementing Environmental Multi‑media Remediation programs for clients in the Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation sectors.

  • Pass drug test, physical, background check; valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 40‑Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) or equivalent.
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.

Compensation

California: $180,000 – $270,000. Final salary may vary based on qualifications and location.
