Job summary

GKR Search and Selection is partnering with a leading aircraft leasing platform to recruit a Technical Director to lead the asset management function. The role focuses on aircraft transition projects and supporting commercial activity across the leasing lifecycle.

The candidate will oversee lease returns, acquisitions, sales, and major modifications, providing technical input for transactions and ensuring program delivery with vendors and maintenance providers. International travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading aircraft maintenance, transition or major modification programmes.
• Strong understanding of aircraft leasing, maintenance planning and technical documentation.
• Experience reviewing and supporting commercial and technical agreements within an aviation environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead aircraft transition activities including lease returns, acquisitions, sales, repossessions and other technical projects.
• Provide technical expertise to support transaction reviews, negotiations and commercial decision-making.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets, vendors and maintenance providers to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor aircraft condition, maintenance activity and contractual compliance throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
