Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters hosts a Technical Designer position focused on Women’s Active, emphasizing sports bras, tops and leggings. You will deliver technical design and process for Nordstrom Made, ensuring DNA alignment and high-quality construction.

You will lead fit sessions, develop Tech Packs, and collaborate with design and suppliers to optimize fit, fabric performance, and construction while supporting cross-functional teams in a hybrid work model.

Competenze

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Technical Design or related field.
• Active or performance apparel experience, including knit fabrics and active product construction techniques.
• Strong understanding of performance fit and fit on the body in motion; familiarity with 3D design tools is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Apparel Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making or related field.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with cross-functional peers and external partners to ensure product is aligned with development strategies and business needs.
• Develop clear, concise Tech Packs to include measurement worksheet and construction images to align with Design intent and Brand DNA.
• Lead fit sessions, and evaluate samples to ensure product specifications, quality and construction standards are being executed.
• Partner with design and suppliers to perfect fit, stretch recovery and seam construction on knit and performance fabrics, with a focus on sports bras, tops and leggings.
• Follow the sample through fit approvals in development and production to ensure intent is met.
• Communicate fit comments to suppliers to achieve desired corrections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline product development and production processes, escalating when leadership involvement is needed.
