Job summary

o5 group is seeking a Technical Designer, Men's & Kids, to translate creative designs into precise technical specs for consistent fit and quality across categories. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and overseas factories in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical design for apparel, strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit standards, and proficiency with Illustrator, CAD, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Fashion/Technical Design.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Designer in apparel.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, CAD, and MS Office.
• Strong garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, detail oriented.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and overseas factories.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, adaptable, and accountable.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical specification packages and review samples for fit, pattern accuracy, and construction.
• Lead and participate in live model fittings, evaluating garments for balance, proportion, and quality, and provide feedback to resolve issues.
• Review pre-production and production samples to ensure consistency with design intent and quality standard.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all technical details are properly executed for production.
• Communicate daily with overseas factories to clarify specifications, review comments, and resolve questions.
• Maintain organized documentation of all technical specifications, revisions, and fit comments for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements to meet seasonal deadlines and business goals.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple categories with attention to detail and follow-through.
