Job summary

Fourth Floor in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Technical Designer to oversee end-to-end technical design for our apparel lines, ensuring fit, construction and quality from concept to production.

You will lead the technical design team, develop detailed tech packs, mentor junior staff, and partner with Design, Product Development and Production to resolve issues and keep projects on schedule. Strong CAD/PLM skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technical design and garment construction expertise, with a focus on accurate fit, specifications, and quality standards.
• Experience leading technical design workflows and managing projects across cross-functional teams.
• Strong product development knowledge and the ability to translate design concepts into production-ready styles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams and external vendors.
• Advanced proficiency with technical design tools and software, including CAD, PLM systems, and/or digital pattern tools.
• 5+ years of experience in technical design or a related apparel/fashion field, including team leadership experience.
• Degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Product Development, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
