Job description

Our client, a rapidly growing D2C menswear brand with ambitions to expand into wholesale and womenswear, is seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join our dynamic, remote team. Reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, you will collaborate closely with product development and design teams to ensure the highest standards of fit, function, and quality across our apparel lines.

This is a contract role - ~5-10 hours/week.

Responsibilities
  • Sit in on fit sessions (virtually or in-person as needed) and provide detailed feedback on samples.
  • Receive, review, and comment on pre-production and production samples for upcoming seasons (focus on Fall/Spring '26 initially).
  • Create and update tech packs, including specs, grades, construction details, and BOMs using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator), Excel, and patternmaking tools.
  • Collaborate with designersto finalize tech packages for production handoff.
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication withstakeholders regarding project status and technical challenges.
  • Provide POV and perspective during product development meetings—your expertise matters!
  • Stay responsive and flexible to accommodate ebbs and flows in workload
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Technical Designer in menswear, streetwear, or activewear
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator), Excel, patternmaking, garment construction, specs/grading.
  • Experience working remotely with distributed teams; excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently while being highly responsive and collaborative.
  • Keen eye for detail; solid communicator who brings a strong POV to the table.
