Job summary

W3Global in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to support the development and production of women's apparel. This role creates and maintains technical packages, ensures styles are accurately executed by manufacturers, and collaborates across Design, Pre-Production, and vendors to guarantee fit, measurements, and construction.

  • 5+ years of Technical Design experience in women's apparel.

  • Excellent eye for proportion, balance, fit, and design details.
  • Experience working with vendors and international manufacturing partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Design and Pre-Production teams to achieve intended fit, aesthetic, and construction.
  • Build and update complete product packages in PLM, including measurements, construction details, BOM notes, and technical sketches.
  • Create and maintain fit, measurement, and construction standards.
  • Review fit history and current fit updates with senior technical design leadership.
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate fit and construction issues to factories.
  • Maintain daily communication and follow-through with vendors and cross-functional partners.
  • Prepare for and participate in garment fit sessions.
  • Verify garment measurements and evaluate construction during fit sessions.
  • Compile and distribute post-fit comments, corrections, and revisions to factories.
  • Develop detailed specifications, construction callouts, and technical sketches.
  • Conduct quality-control reviews of bulk production.
  • Manage multiple styles, projects, and deadlines.
  • Support the Technical Design team with day-to-day activities and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary
