Job summary

Sunshine Tienda, LLC in New Braunfels, TX, is seeking a Fit Technical Designer for Women’s Apparel to oversee fit and construction of upcoming collections. You will partner with designers to develop precise tech packs, manage fit sessions, and ensure consistent sizing across XS–XXL.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical design for women’s apparel, expert Illustrator and Excel skills, and comfort with PLM tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Technical Design within Women’s Apparel (Contemporary, Athleisure, or Bridge).
• Expert-level Adobe Illustrator and Excel skills.
• Experience with PLM software (Backbone, Centric, or BlueCherry) is a plus.
• Deep understanding of garment construction, stitching details, fabric performance, and drape.
• Ability to translate technical issues into clear instructions for overseas or domestic factories.

Responsibilities

• Tech Pack Development: Partner with Designer to create initial tech packs including detailed sketches (flats), construction callouts, and initial measurement charts.
• Fit Session Management: Lead fit sessions (virtual or in-person) and provide clear, actionable fit comments and corrections to manufacturers.
• Sizing & Grading: Establish and maintain brand-consistent grade rules and size charts (XS–XXL).
• Pattern Review: Analyze patterns for balance and silhouette accuracy; communicate necessary adjustments to pattern makers or factories.
• Quality Control: Establish tolerances and ensure that pre-production samples meet specifications before bulk production. Must specify each sample to ensure it meets our standards.

Key Responsibilities:
