Job summary

Careismatic Brands seeks a Technical Designer to take garments from concept to shelf-ready products and to develop tech packs for production. You’ll collaborate with manufacturers to ensure quality standards and use PLM, Illustrator, and Photoshop to translate designs into production-ready specs.

This full-time hybrid role is based at our Sherman Oaks, CA corporate office, with responsibilities spanning fit, patternmaking, and documentation to support the entire design-to-production process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of import and export packages and ability to develop spec sheets from prototype fit samples.
• At least one year of pattern-making.
• Knowledge of how to illustrate fit details or changes.
• Knowledge of sewing/garment construction.
• Familiar with sewing terminology.
• At least three years apparel industry experience.
• Team oriented, detail minded, excellent follow-through.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent skills in Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator, PLM.

Responsibilities

• Measuring garments and applying information to spec sheets in PLM.
• Making tech packs from start to finish to submit for a first fit sample.
• Drawing sketches and fixing patterns with Adobe Illustrator.
• Ensuring garment and spec sheet are perfect before releasing to marking and grading dept.
• Measuring patterns and garments to ensure they match.
• Going through fit processes from start to finish.
• Taking thorough fit notes in fit sessions for all patternmakers.

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Technical Designer to take garments from concept to shelf-ready products, bring creative designs and adapt them into tangible products, work and develop a plan with manufacturers, and ensure that the finished product meets their company’s quality standards.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in our corporate office in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Salary Range: $75k-$100k
