Job summary
Golden Touch is seeking a Technical Design Manager for Walmart Kids Apparel to lead the Technical Design team across multiple children’s categories, ensuring fit, quality, and production execution from concept through production.
You will mentor designers, drive standards and best practices, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and partner with overseas factories to meet Walmart requirements and key calendar milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technical Design or related field.
- 5+ years of Technical Design experience in children's apparel.
- 1+ year of leadership supervising Technical Designers.
- Private label and Walmart experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of children's garment construction, grading, fit, fabrics.
- Experience managing multiple product categories in high-volume production.
- Proficiency with PLM, Illustrator, Excel, Outlook/Teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Technical Designers across Walmart Kids categories.
- Set standards, manage workload, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Oversee technical design standards and process improvements.
- Coach team on fit, construction issues, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners from design to production.
- Partner with factories to resolve technical issues during development.
