Position Title: Technical Delivery Manager
Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of enterprise software development initiatives across Agile teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering, project and program delivery, Agile methodologies, and stakeholder management, with hands-on understanding of modern full-stack technology stacks including Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, cloud platforms, and microservices architectures.

The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of software solutions, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical architecture, and development execution. This role bridges business stakeholders, product management, architects, and engineering teams while promoting Agile best practices and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects and programs.
  • Manage multiple Agile teams delivering enterprise-scale applications and digital solutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Establish delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive transparent reporting of project status, risks, issues, and delivery metrics.
Agile Program Management
  • Champion Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid delivery frameworks.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and release planning.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize work based on business value and technical dependencies.
  • Track velocity, burndown, capacity planning, and team performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Technical Leadership
  • Partner with architects and engineering leads to ensure scalable and maintainable solution delivery.
  • Provide oversight on software development practices, coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment processes.
  • Support teams developing applications using:
    • Java / Spring Boot
    • Angular
    • JavaScript / TypeScript
    • RESTful APIs
    • Microservices architecture
    • Cloud-native technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
    • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Evaluate technical risks and facilitate resolution of complex delivery challenges.
Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Communicate project progress, resource needs, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate across multiple teams including Development, QA, Infrastructure, Security, Product Management, and Operations.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships where applicable.
Team Leadership
  • Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and development teams.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and high-performance team culture.
  • Support talent development, career growth, and knowledge sharing.
  • Help establish best practices across delivery teams and communities of practice.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, project management, or technical delivery roles.
  • 5+ years of experience leading Agile software development teams.
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise applications using Java-based technology stacks.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Java
    • Spring Boot
    • Angular
    • Microservices
    • API development and integration
    • Relational and NoSQL databases
    • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams consisting of developers, QA engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with Agile management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience working within scaled Agile environments (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with:
    • Kubernetes and containerization

    • Event-driven architecture
    • Messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
    • Enterprise integration patterns
