Job summary

Simmers Crane Design & Services, part of Flatiron Crane, seeks a Service Sales Representative to provide technical sales support for overhead crane and lifting systems. You will evaluate customer projects, develop engineered solutions, and prepare competitive proposals to win orders.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus, experience in industrial equipment sales, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
• Experience in cost estimating is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must have Industrial Equipment sales experience.
• Ability to grasp & relate to technical/mechanical design requirements & specifications of lifting equipment.
• Experience in writing technical proposals.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new project inquiries to identify technical risk and provide recommended solutions.
• Develop technical solutions to position the company to close new project orders.
• Collaborate with Managers, Reps, Owners, and Consulting Engineers to develop proposals and working solutions.
• Support sales bid opportunities.
• Perform technical reviews of RFQ packages.
• Develop technical package (unit drawings, equipment selections, data sheets, catalogs) for sales strategy.
• Obtain equipment quotes from vendors.
• Perform risk assessment and discuss recommendations with Sales team.
• Assist Project Teams during handoff of new projects.
