The Technical Coordinator for Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) will handle the professional aspects of the TechOps mission, including managing contracts and large-scale projects with Facilities Management. It will be key to the operation of our new Shared Resources Initiative.
Responsibilities will include managing technical resources in ECE and IREAP, coordinating shared-use facilities, and providing safety and compliance education. This role operates with a high degree of independence, exercising discretion and judgment in developing, interpreting, and implementing departmental policies, processes, and initiatives. The Coordinator's decisions directly influence the operational efficiency, program effectiveness, and priorities of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, impacting students, staff, and senior leadership initiatives.

Physical Demands: Much of the job is sedentary. The incumbent will work primarily in an office environment, with some travel to other buildings on and off campus (attend meetings, pick up/drop off packages, which may be heavy and require the use of carts, etc.). The incumbent may assist in the setup for meetings and events that may require moving furniture. The incumbent may exert 30 lbs. of force to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends, or different shifts for extended periods
