Job summary

Veeva Systems is seeking a Technical Consultant to lead Vault Platform architecture and extension via Java development. You will partner with senior consultants and solution architects, delivering cloud-based integrations and tooling for life sciences customers.

The role is remote, full-time in the US/Canada, with travel up to 10% and travel eligibility. You will grow as a client-facing technical consultant while advancing software development and solution design best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming in Java or other object-oriented languages.
• Experience with AWS services and serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Fargate, CloudFormation).
• Technical consulting experience in the life sciences industry.
• Proven ability to manage concurrent projects with deadlines.
• 4-year degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to pursue a technical consulting career path.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Must be located in and legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.

The Role

As a Technical Consultant, you will be a key member of the Veeva Vault Technical Services team which will be the leader in Vault Platform architecture and application extension through Java development. This position requires a blend of those who enjoy writing code while also wanting to grow in being a client-facing technical consultant to our life science customers.

The Technical Consultant will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best Senior Consultants and Solution Architects in the industry and learn best practices for software development and consulting, business analysis, solution design, enterprise software integration, and project management.

This is a remote, full-time permanent role with Veeva. Qualified U.S.- and Canada-based applicants who are in close proximity to an airport and able to meet travel requirements are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming in Java or other object-oriented programming languages


• Experience with AWS services and methodologies, particularly on using Serverless components, including AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Fargate, and CloudFormation


• Technical consulting experience in the life sciences industry


• Proven ability to manage concurrent projects with concurrent deadlines


• 4-year degree majoring in a technical field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent)


• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Desire to go into a technical consulting career path


• Ability to travel up to 10%


• Must be both located in and legally authorized to be employed in the United States or Canada

Nice to Have

• Experience with working within Cloud Based Architecture


• Hands-on experience with SSO and SAML

Compensation

• Base pay: $75,000 - $150,000


• The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
