Purpose:

Project/Operational Managers or Workstream/Project Leaders applying in-depth knowledge, advanced problem solving skills and an awareness of internal and client priorities to implement project scope and client objectives. Individuals independently apply own judgment to develop conclusions from analyses and apply results to client specific context. Within established parameters, defining new approaches to complex challenges. Works with greater degree of independence, conferring with manager on complex assignments. Leading larger workstreams/areas of assignments, projects and proposals. Increased focus on developing internal team members. Developing and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Takes accountability/ownership of smaller assignments/projects including team and client engagement, setting expectations and driving accountability in others. Ability to develop case studies, lead multi-office projects.
  • Beginning to interface with clients at higher levels within the organization. Beginning to manage client relationships and support account management. Continuing to build relationships with key decision makers for future business opportunities.
  • Typically responsible for a portion of the revenue generation of a project. Understands the impact of successful project delivery on current and future revenue.
  • Frequent interface with other workstreams and business lines, middle and upper management. Proactively sets priorities related to complex situations having multi-project and/or organizational impact.
  • Independently and systematically breaks down and structures complex problems.
  • Works with a greater degree of independence, conferring with manager on the more complex or unusual assignments. Keeps Assignment/Project lead updated on progress.
  • Scope of conflict resolution and negotiation begins to have broader implications, influencing direction of the organization. Focuses on developing others. Generally makes recommendations on team selection, training, appraisal and discipline. Able to assist others to troubleshoot issues. May be involved in guiding assignment or workstream strategy.
  • Effectively communicates and presents complex proposals and reports to senior level management both internal and external to the organization. Ability to persuade and influence others. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach. Structures presentations and workshops with guidance.

Qualifications:

What will you bring:

  • Experienced PM with Power engineering background, ME favored.
  • Cognizant of the many/diverse Power technologies.
  • Experienced in Owner’s Engineering Services with ability/experience to manage the client.
  • Construction and/or commissioning experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and ability to read and understand Primavera outputs.
  • Flexible technically with analytical abilities.
  • Techno-economic knowledge/modeling a plus.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to manage a remote multi-office discipline team.
  • HSE awareness and implementation experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage project budgets.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to draft client proposals.
  • Techno-contractual knowledge of project contracting.
