Purpose:

Project/Operational Managers or Workstream/Project Leaders apply in-depth knowledge, advanced problem solving skills and an awareness of internal and client priorities to implement project scope and client objectives. They independently develop conclusions from analyses and apply results to client-specific contexts, defining new approaches to complex challenges. They work with greater independence, conferring with managers on complex assignments, leading larger workstreams, and developing internal team members. They also develop and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Take accountability and ownership of smaller assignments/projects, including team and client engagement, setting expectations, and driving accountability in others. Ability to develop case studies, lead multi-office projects.
  • Begin to interface with clients at higher levels within the organization. Manage client relationships and support account management. Continue building relationships with key decision makers for future business opportunities.
  • Typically responsible for a portion of the revenue generation of a project. Understand the impact of successful project delivery on current and future revenue.
  • Interface frequently with other workstreams and business lines, middle and upper management. Set priorities related to complex situations with multi-project and organizational impact.
  • Independently and systematically break down and structure complex problems.
  • Work with greater independence, conferring with managers on more complex or unusual assignments. Keep the project lead updated on progress.
  • Begin to handle conflict resolution and negotiation with broader organizational implications. Focus on developing others. Assist in team selection, training, and troubleshooting issues. May guide assignment or workstream strategy.
  • Effectively communicate and present complex proposals and reports to senior management, internal and external. Persuade and influence others. Use a participative management style and structure presentations with guidance.

Qualifications:

What you will bring:

  • Experienced Power engineer, preferably with Mechanical Engineering background.
  • Cognizant of diverse Power technologies.
  • Experience in Owner's Engineering Services with client management ability.
  • Construction and/or commissioning experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and Primavera outputs.
  • Flexible technically with analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of techno-economic modeling is a plus.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to manage remote multi-office teams.
  • HSE awareness and implementation experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage project budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to draft client proposals.
  • Knowledge of project contractual and techno-contractual aspects.
