Our client is seeking an Ivanti Neurons & Virima Consultant for a remote role.

Duration: 1-2 Months

Location: Remote

Work Arrangement: $60-$70 per hour

Job Summary:

The candidate will implement Ivanti Change Management and Ivanti Neurons Asset Management for asset discovery and service mapping, utilizing Virima as the discovery and mapping engine. The role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with both agent-based and agentless scanning protocols, especially addressing persistent issues with agentless discovery.

Responsibilities:

1. Configure and troubleshoot Virima agentless and agent-based discovery methods.
2. Resolve mapping failures in Ivanti Neurons Asset Management caused by credential or scanning issues.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
4. Document configurations and transfer knowledge to the internal IT team.
5. Validate security and connectivity settings relevant to asset scanning (WMI, SSH, WinRM, SNMP).
6. Ensure integration between Virima and Ivanti Neurons CMDB modules is successful.
7. Provide recommendations for long-term stability and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 5+ years of ITSM/ITOM experience focusing on Asset Management, CMDB, and Discovery tools.
2. Deep expertise in Ivanti Neurons Asset Management.
3. Hands-on experience with Virima Discovery & Service Mapping tools.
4. Experience configuring and troubleshooting agentless scanning protocols in Windows/Linux environments.
5. Strong understanding of credential management and protocols like WMI, WinRM, SSH.
6. Experience integrating third-party discovery tools with Ivanti or similar platforms.
7. Ability to lead troubleshooting sessions and serve as SME across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working in utilities or regulated environments.
2. Previous experience in professional services or consulting roles.
