Job Summary:
Technical tooling & process specialist that supports all engineering change costs collection, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis through the entire RFQ process. This role serves as bridge between technical tooling/process and commercial pricing strategy. Critical link between Engineering, Program Management and Commercial team to ensure engineering changes are accurately assessed, costed, increase profitability margin and communicated, implemented with minimal disruption to production, quality, delivery, and profitability.
Coordinate cross-functional change implementation activities, evaluate cost impacts, and support customer commercial negotiations related to product and process changes.
Required Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Education (Undergraduate Degree or Community College Diploma) in the one of the following:
- Manufacturing (Tooling)
- 15+ years’ experience in manufacturing/ tooling; 3 years program management experience; P.Eng or P.M.P. designation preferred
- 5+ years Commercial experience - preferred
- Strong communicator, both written and oral
- Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Powerpoint)
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, UG)

Responsibilities:
Manage engineering change from sales price negotiations with customer to tooling collection and payment.
- Change management; lead technical quoting with customer for sales price negotiations
- Communicate ECN’s changes and provide technical walk and negotiate tooling sales price per customer define requirements
- Lead tooling collection activities and document submission to achieve tooling payment collection on time per plan
- Update ECN price tracker, tooling collection tracker and update KPI’s
- Coordinate with Plant Tool Home lining team and Die Project Leaders to confirm Vendor tooling policy allowances for Labor and Raw Material planned cost collection.
- Facility abides by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
