Job summary

Foodmate is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist/Expeditor for its Ball Ground, GA operations. You will buy parts and components, maintain optimal inventory, and support multiple departments to ensure on-time delivery and high service levels.

You will evaluate suppliers, push approvals with Engineering and Foodmate NL, and implement short- and long-term cost-reduction strategies. Strong SAP/MRP experience and accurate PO management are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of procurement/buying experience in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years total work experience in a B2B environment is preferred.
• Proven ability to expedite vendors to maximize on-time delivery.
• Experience negotiating contracts and evaluating vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supports department managers with purchasing needs.
• Executes purchase orders in SAP/MRP and related tools.
• Creates/enters part numbers in SAP.
• Procures non-stock, emergency orders, raw materials, and special orders.
• Performs PO confirmations and follow-ups on open orders.
• Expedites parts for sales orders and urgent requirements.
• Participates in cost-reduction initiatives and supplier development.
• Works with QA to manage RMA and first article inspections as needed.
