Job summary

KEB AMERICA INC. is seeking a Technical Buyer to source and procure technical and engineered components, materials, and services for manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Suppliers to ensure materials are available, meet quality standards, and deliver on schedule. The role requires a background in supply chain or engineering with experience in purchasing technical products and a strong ability to negotiate, analyze data, and manage

Qualifications

• Experience purchasing technical or engineered products and components.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to follow work instructions accurately.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure technical components, raw materials, assemblies, equipment and services in support of operational requirements.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, lead times, overall performance, and capacity to ensure reliable supply.
• Set up and maintain main data in SAP.
• Generate, create, alter, and cancel purchase orders.
• Obtain and enter purchase order confirmations from suppliers to SAP.
• Coordinate with suppliers and KEB departments for direct or indirect material.
• Determine whether air freight or sea freight is necessary for goods from international vendors.
• Obtain quotes for and source items/services.
• Update purchase orders to reflect current information on inbound goods to KEB America.
• Assist with inventory management and expediting purchase orders.
