Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering or related field required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in business development or sales.
• 5+ years forging and maintaining business relationships.
• 5+ years negotiating contracts and leading strategic pursuits.
• Proficiency with MS Office products and CRM systems.
• Licensed engineer, DBIA certified, or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years in construction or high-paced environments.
• Experience in public speaking, contract negotiations and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with laws/regulations affecting business development.
• Provide leadership input on organizational growth initiatives.
• Lead strategic pursuits and partner/teaming decisions.
• Develop proposals, bids, and gather market intelligence.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
• Coach regional teams on business development relationships.
• Build high-level relationships with customers and engineering firms.
• Identify, develop and close new opportunities.
• Serve as internal consultant to VP of Business Development.
• Prepare departmental budgets.
