Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in Business Development or Sales in construction/engineering sectors.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience forging and maintaining business relationships for large projects.
• 5+ years negotiating contracts and leading strategic pursuits.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems; strong technical/report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they relate to business development.
• Provides executive leadership team and regional leadership with recommendations related to organizational growth initiatives impacting business development efforts.
• Leads alternative delivery pursuits and provides guidance on strategy and partnering/teaming decisions.
• Manages development of proposals, bids, and generating market intelligence for capturing and analyzing strategic market or client information.
• Participate in national trade shows, professional organizations (DBIA, etc.) and industry events as requested by VP of Business Development and regional leadership.
• Provide subject matter expertise and coaching of regional teams as it relates to business development relationships including regional, state and local levels.
• Contributes to the development of high-level relationships with customers, engineering firms and potential customers.
• Contributes to and assists with efforts to identify, develop and close opportunities for business.
• Serves as an internal consultant to VP of Business Development and various departments upon request to enhance all business development-related concerns.
• Responsible for creating departmental budgets as requested.
• May support long-range growth strategies and stakeholder engagement.
