Job summary

PTR Global in New York is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join the Wealth Management Monitoring team within Non-Financial Risk Technology. You will help monitor advisor compliance with firm policies and provide data-driven insights.

You will elicit requirements, analyze data, support UAT and BDD, and lead cross-functional initiatives while mentoring junior analysts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Flexible working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Business Analyst experience in global/enterprise organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong Data Analysis experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with BRs, User Stories, UAT, and BDD.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with cross-functional IT and Business teams.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst / Data Analyst to join a Wealth Management Monitoring team within Non-Financial Risk Technology (NFRT).

This role supports Risk & Compliance functions by helping build and enhance technology solutions used to monitor Financial Advisor compliance with firm policies and procedures.

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, Agile user stories, POCs, and supporting documentation
• Analyze data sets, identify data gaps, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them
• Partner with development teams to ensure solutions are delivered according to business requirements
• Develop and execute UAT test plans and support Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
• Create and manage project plans, track milestones, and escalated risks/delays
• Lead cross-functional teams and facilitate communication across Business and Technology stakeholders
• Support product implementation and ongoing product support

Required Skills

Financial Markets / Compliance Experience

Experience with Compliance Surveillance platforms such as Actimize, MANTAS, SunGard, or SMARTS is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of surveillance scenarios such as Wash Trades, Marking the Open/Close, Spoofing, Insider Trading, and related compliance monitoring is a strong plus.

• Strong understanding of trades, positions, and reference data
