Job summary

Technical Assistant to Construction Official

TECHNICAL ASSISTANT TO CONSTRUCTION OFFICIAL

The Borough of Prospect Park, Passaic County, Mayor-Council form of government seeks a skilled Technical Assistant in a busy customer-service oriented Construction Department. The ideal candidate must have 2 to 3 years’ experience in all aspects of the Construction Code Enforcement (UCC) Division and must possess a valid NJ Technical Assistant Certificate and a NJ resident. Must have the ability to interpret and apply local ordinances, respond to OPRA requests, prepare daily deposits, and prepare necessary reports. Position is Part-Time up to 4 hours a week with salary range of $30-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
