Job description

The Technical Architect, HR Technology (HRIT) provides strategic leadership for enterprise HR system architecture, integrations, security governance, environment strategy, and technical solution design within Rheem’s Oracle Fusion HCM ecosystem. This role establishes scalable, secure, and sustainable architecture standards across the HR technology landscape — spanning Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), security frameworks, and emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and the Oracle Redwood experience. Operating at the intersection of HR business strategy and enterprise IT architecture, this position is critical to enabling Rheem’s global digital transformation across its industrial manufacturing operations.

This position will serve Rheem North America, located in Atlanta, GA (Hybrid).

This role follows our hybrid work arrangement, with team members working in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.

  • Lead the enterprise HR systems architecture strategy for Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud, establishing reference architectures, design patterns, and technology standards that support Rheem’s global HR operations across North America, LATAM, and APAC manufacturing regions.

  • Lead integration and technical design governance by establishing review boards, design standards, and approval workflows for all HR technology integrations — ensuring consistency, reusability, and maintainability across Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, HDL, and third-party connectors.

  • Oversee Oracle HCM security architecture and controls, including role-based access control (RBAC), data security policies, encryption standards, and audit frameworks — partnering with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and industry-specific manufacturing regulations.

  • Establish and enforce environment management standards across Oracle HCM Cloud instances (Development, Test, UAT, Production), defining promotion workflows, refresh strategies, sandbox governance, and configuration migration procedures to ensure release quality and operational stability.

  • Guide the strategic adoption of AI, automation, and Oracle Redwood UX framework across Rheem’s HR technology ecosystem — evaluating emerging Oracle capabilities, defining adoption roadmaps, and ensuring seamless integration of intelligent automation with existing talent, payroll, and workforce management processes.

  • Lead M&A technical integration architecture by designing and executing HR technology integration blueprints for acquisitions and divestitures — including data migration strategies, system consolidation plans, security harmonization, and Day 1 readiness frameworks for newly acquired manufacturing entities.

  • Partner with enterprise IT architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, and infrastructure teams to align HR technology decisions with Rheem’s broader technology strategy, cloud architecture principles, and zero-trust security frameworks.

  • Define deployment and release governance standards for quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, custom extensions, and integration changes — establishing CI/CD practices, regression testing protocols, rollback procedures, and stakeholder communication frameworks to ensure zero-disruption releases.

  • Review and approve complex technical solutions including Oracle Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, BIP reports, workflow configurations, and custom integrations — ensuring adherence to architecture standards, performance benchmarks, and long-term maintainability.

  • Mentor and develop technical team members by establishing coding standards, conducting architecture reviews, facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions, and building a culture of technical excellence within the HR Technology team.

  • Evaluate and recommend emerging HR technologies, industry trends, and Oracle roadmap capabilities — including AI/ML-driven workforce analytics, skills ontology platforms, digital employee experience innovations, and agentic automation — to maintain Rheem’s competitive edge in the industrial manufacturing talent market.

  • Drive technical debt reduction and platform optimization initiatives by identifying legacy customizations, proposing Oracle-native alternatives, and leading rationalization efforts that simplify the HR technology landscape while improving system performance and total cost of ownership.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.

  • 7 years of experience in HR technology architecture, enterprise systems design, or technical consulting with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud.

  • Proven experience designing and governing enterprise-scale Oracle HCM architectures spanning multiple modules (Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Compensation).

  • Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, HDL/HCM Data Loader, BIP reports, and HCM Extracts for complex data integration scenarios.

  • Deep knowledge of Oracle HCM security architecture including role-based access control, data security policies, user provisioning, and audit compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR).

  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle Fast Formulas for payroll, compensation, benefits, and absence calculations in complex manufacturing environments.

  • Expertise in Oracle Redwood UX framework, Visual Builder Studio (VBS), and modern Oracle Cloud extensibility patterns.

  • Experience supporting global HR organizations in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with understanding of multi-country payroll, plant-based workforce structures, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong technical leadership skills with experience mentoring architects, developers, and analysts in best practices and architecture governance.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive and non-technical audiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

How to stand out
  • Oracle HCM Cloud certification (Implementation Specialist or Architect-level preferred).

  • Experience with cloud security frameworks, zero-trust architecture, and identity & access management (IAM) solutions integrated with Oracle HCM.

  • Familiarity with analytics and data platforms such as Oracle OTBI, BI Publisher, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory for HR analytics and reporting.

  • Experience leading HR technology integration during M&A activities including data migration, system consolidation, and Day 1 readiness planning.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, DevOps principles, and automated testing frameworks applied to Oracle Cloud environments.

  • Experience implementing or supporting multi-country Oracle HCM rollouts across diverse manufacturing operations with complex payroll and compliance requirements.

  • Understanding of industrial manufacturing workforce dynamics including union/non-union environments, shift-based scheduling, skilled trades management, and labor compliance.

  • Knowledge of current market trends in HR technology including AI/ML-driven workforce transformation, agentic automation, skills taxonomies, digital employee experience, and Oracle’s strategic product roadmap.
