Job summary

PANAPPS INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Technical Architect - Digital Solutions to lead Drupal/Wordpress enterprise platforms. You will design scalable architectures, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients on pre‑sales and delivery.

This hands‑on leadership role requires deep CMS expertise, cloud and DevOps practice, and a drive for secure, high‑performance solutions across multisite and headless deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Drupal/Wordpress and enterprise web application development.
• Strong expertise in Drupal architecture, custom development, Composer, Configuration Management, Symfony, REST APIs, GraphQL, and headless Drupal.
• Experience designing multisite, multilingual, and large-scale Drupal deployments.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, modern front-end frameworks, SQL databases, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD.
• Experience with performance optimization, caching, scalability, security, and DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and enterprise AI integration patterns.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture & technical leadership for enterprise Drupal/WordPress platforms.
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures and roadmaps.
• Establish engineering standards and governance; mentor teams.
• Lead architecture/code reviews and provide technical mentoring.
• Design and deliver large-scale Drupal/multisite migrations and modernizations.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect - Digital Solutions (Drupal / Wordpress / Other CMS)to lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale digital platforms built on Drupal and modern CMS technologies. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role for someone passionate about building scalable, secure, high-performance solutions while driving innovation through cloud technologies, DevOps, and AI-assisted software engineering.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working directly with clients, leading technical teams, contributing to pre‑sales activities, and defining engineering best practices. This role emphasizes technical leadership and architecture, with project coordination responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Architect enterprise-grade Drupal solutions, including multisite, multilingual, multi-domain, and headless implementations.
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performance application architectures and technical roadmaps.
• Establish engineering standards, coding best practices, architecture governance, and reusable frameworks.
• Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring.

Drupal & Enterprise Solutions

• Lead large-scale Drupal implementations, migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Design robust content models, workflows, integrations, and enterprise CMS solutions.
• Architect integrations with CRM, ERP, Identity Management, Search, Marketing Automation, AI services, and other enterprise platforms.

Cloud, DevOps & Performance

• Design cloud-native Drupal deployments using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code, and automated release processes.
• Optimize application performance through caching strategies, database tuning, CDN integration, monitoring, and scalability planning.
• Ensure security, accessibility, and operational excellence across all deployments.

AI & Innovation

• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
• Evaluate and integrate AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, intelligent search, personalization, and workflow automation into enterprise solutions.
• Promote responsible AI adoption, technical innovation, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.

Client Engagement & Pre-Sales

• Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and define technical solutions.
• Participate in solution design, technical presentations, estimations, proposals, and RFP responses.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout project engagements.

Leadership

• Mentor developers and technical leads while fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and technical quality.
• Contribute to building organizational capabilities, technical practices, and innovation initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Drupal/Wordpress and enterprise web application development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Drupal certification(s).
• Experience with Acquia, Pantheon, or Platform.sh.

• Exposure to Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), composable architectures, and enterprise integrations.
• Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with AI platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar services.
