Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Technical Architect to lead end-to-end observability across applications and infrastructure. You will administer DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics, design monitoring frameworks, and drive automation using Python and DevOps best practices.

The role partners with cross-functional teams, supports GCP/Kubernetes workloads, and contributes to Site Reliability Engineering initiatives in a hybrid US setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or software engineering.
• Strong background in observability, monitoring, and SRE practices.
• Experience with cloud-native platforms and DevOps tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics.
• Deploy and maintain monitoring agents for accurate visibility.
• Design monitoring solutions including mobile monitoring, RUM, and synthetic monitoring.
• Serve as SME for full-stack observability using APM, logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Collaborate across teams to implement dashboards, alerts, and observability frameworks.
• Develop automation using Python, GitOps, and DevOps best practices.
• Support cloud-native workloads on GCP and Kubernetes.
• Drive SRE initiatives with SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, and incident response.

Job Description

• Administer, configure, and optimize DataDog, AppDynamics, and Quantum Metrics platforms to provide end‑to‑end observability across applications and infrastructure.
• Deploy, customize, troubleshoot, and maintain DataDog and AppDynamics agents to ensure accurate monitoring and performance visibility.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions, including mobile monitoring, browser Real User Monitoring (RUM), and synthetic monitoring, to enhance user experience and application reliability.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for full‑stack observability , leveraging APM, logs, metrics, and distributed tracing to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to gather monitoring requirements and implement effective dashboards, alerting strategies, and observability frameworks.
• Design and develop automation solutions using Python, GitOps principles, and DevOps best practices to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Support and monitor cloud‑native workloads running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes environments.
• Perform proactive monitoring, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and performance tuning to ensure platform stability and reliability.
• Contribute to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives through the implementation and support of observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry (OTel), and Grafana.
• Develop and maintain monitoring standards, service health dashboards, SLIs/SLOs, and alerting mechanisms to improve operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement in observability, automation, and monitoring practices across enterprise applications and infrastructure.
• Leverage AI‑driven capabilities to automate routine tasks, reduce alert fatigue, improve signal‑to‑noise ratio, and enhance incident response processes.
• Evaluate and implement advanced observability technologies, including anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency through modern monitoring and SRE best practices
