Job summary

New York Technology Partners is seeking a Technical Applications Engineer to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Engineering in the development of new machining processes through prototyping phases. For existing platforms, a well-organized approach will be employed to optimize process capabilities.

Lead operations in performance improvement projects and mentor machinists in DMAIC initiatives to meet productivity, quality, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Quality related fields with 3 years of relevant industrial experience (Machining, Injection Molding, Metal fabrication stampings, plating) with an emphasis on automotive and/or aerospace applications

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Quality related fields with 1 year of relevant working experience (Machining, Injection Molding, Metal fabrication stampings, plating) with an emphasis on automotive and/or aerospace applications

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare concept drawings for tooling, fixtures, and automation in support of continuous improvement projects
• Assist with and mentor Level 4 machinist DMAIC projects
