Reporting Line

This position reports to the Sales Support Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop technical and commercial proposals for Power Protection products and solutions. Proposal requests may include opportunities in North America & US-based cross-pole transactions. This requires a thorough understanding of ABB's Power Protection offerings and potential solutions.

The work model is remote (Li-Remote), with flexibility in location; preferred locations are Richmond, VA, and Dallas, TX.

This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division.

You will be mainly responsible for:

1. Developing timely, comprehensive, and professional proposals for STS & PDU, focusing on proposal volume, on-time delivery, hit-rate/win-rate, and profitability.
2. Interpreting drawings, data sheets, and specifications to understand and adhere to design intent.
3. Maintaining relationships and negotiating with key vendor partners and internal ABB factories.
4. Collaborating closely with Sales Managers, Reps, Commercial Operations, and Strategic Customers to understand CTQs and provide executable proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited university or college is preferred, or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in contract negotiation or sales.
• Minimum of 5 years of project quotation experience and industry experience in electrical distribution is preferred.
• Must have valid work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
