Reporting Line

This position reports to the Sales Support Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop technical and commercial proposals for Power Protection products and solutions. Proposal requests may include opportunities in North America and US-based cross-pole transactions. This requires an in-depth understanding of ABB's Power Protection offerings and potential solutions.

The work model is remote (Li-Remote), with flexibility in living location, preferably in Richmond, VA, or Dallas, TX. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Developing timely, comprehensive, and professional STS & PDU proposals, focusing on proposal volume, on-time delivery, hit-rate/win-rate, and profitability.
2. Interpreting drawings, data sheets, and specifications to understand and adhere to design intent.
3. Developing and maintaining relationships, negotiating with key vendor partners and internal factories.
4. Collaborating with Sales Managers, Reps, Commercial Operations, and strategic customers to understand opportunities and develop executable proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited university or college preferred, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in contract negotiation or sales.
• At least 5 years of project quotation experience and familiarity with the electrical distribution industry are preferred.
• Must have valid work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
