Position: Technical Analyst (Audio/Video Tech)

Location: Remote

Duration: 3 years

Job Description:

The AV Technical Analyst will be a subject matter expert in audiovisual systems including telecommunication, information technology infrastructure, and audio-visual infrastructure. The incumbent will review and advise on multiple capital projects and facility modifications, providing technical assistance during bidding, design, permitting, and construction.

Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required:

• Support the low-voltage engineering specialist in completing AV projects and ongoing maintenance.
• Support committee meetings in SF and Sacramento conference centers by attending in person to ensure smooth webcast operations.
• Provide design review of plans created by contracted firms for AV and low voltage systems.
• Advise project managers on AV system aspects in projects.
• Review engineering designs and construction documentation.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Troubleshoot AV systems in courthouses.
• Assist in Contract Management and drafting technical scopes for RFQs/RFPs.
• Review contractor invoices for compliance and completion.
• Develop AV system standards and guidelines.
• Conduct site visits during construction for compliance.
• Coordinate implementation of converged networks in projects.
• Provide training to staff and user groups.

Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience, with ability to travel.
• CTS certification from Infocomm International.
• Experience as an audiovisual engineer for contractors or consultants.
• Familiarity with AMX and Crestron control systems, Biamp audio equipment, CTNS, CompTIA Network+, Cisco equipment, and converged Ethernet/IT networks.
