BRSi in Houston, TX is seeking a Technical Analyst to develop and maintain Healthcare IT applications using Microsoft SQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and experience with Microsoft SSMS.

You will analyze healthcare data to improve billing processes, troubleshoot backend functions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into technical specifications. This role offers growth in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• Experience with MSSQL databases including query optimization and development using T-SQL.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to develop processes and methodologies.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain, and document in-house IT business applications using Microsoft SQL (2008 and later).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Utilize strong SQL skills to optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Develop both internal and external reports using MSSQL.
• Complete functional, regression, integration, and system testing and document findings as instructed.
• Implement processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Adapt quickly to external environment and organizational changes.
• Multi-task multiple execution team deliverables and ensure deadlines are met.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with MSSQL databases including query optimization, report creation, and development using T‑SQL.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organization and communication skills
• Advanced reasoning and strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to develop processes and methodologies
• Effective time management skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management Systems
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) knowledge/awareness
• Hands‑on experience with test case design, defect tracking, and test management tools (e.g., SpiraTeam)
• Certification in healthcare revenue cycle management (e.g., CRCR) is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience developing and implementing web-based applications
