Job summary

Weekday 1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage technical accounting and SEC reporting specialists. You will translate real ASC judgments into high-quality training data that teaches AI to reason through complex standards.

This is a fully remote independent contractor role with weekly payments via Stripe or Wise. You will focus on ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 805, crafting scenarios, reviewing AI outputs for accuracy, and providing clear feedback to improve AI reasoning.

Qualifications

• Big 4 or public-company technical accounting / SEC reporting background.
• Hands-on ASC exposure (606, 842, 718, 805).
• CPA certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios from your work — technical accounting memos, schedules, SEC filings, footnotes & disclosures.
• Review and compare AI-generated outputs for standards-accurate conclusions.
• Provide clear written feedback to improve AI reasoning in technical accounting.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team.

We are collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage technical accounting and SEC reporting specialists. You'll translate real technical-accounting and external-reporting work into structured, high-quality training data that teaches AI to reason through complex ASC judgments.

Focus Areas

Technical accounting & external / SEC reporting — with deep, hands‑on exposure to the standards (ASC 606 revenue, 842 leases, 718 stock comp, 805 business combinations).

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios from your work — technical accounting memos, technical accounting schedules, SEC filings (10-K / 10-Q), footnotes & disclosures, and applying new/complex ASC standards to transactions
• Review and compare AI-generated technical outputs for standards-accurate conclusions and defensible support
• Provide clear written feedback that improves how AI reasons about technical accounting
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team

Ideal Qualifications

• Big 4 or public-company technical accounting / SEC reporting background
• Deep, hands‑on ASC exposure (606, 842, 718, 805) — actual technical-accounting depth, not general audit experience
• CPA
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong written communication and attention to detail

Contract and Payment Terms
