Job summary

Landing Point seeks an experienced Technical Accounting Specialist to maintain accounting policies and procedures and conduct GAAP research related to SAP bases. This role requires close collaboration with Finance to ensure GAAP, SEC, and SAP compliance across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in accounting, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and/or SAP.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or a combination of public and industry.
• Financial services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the department-wide initiative regarding accounting policy and procedure development.
• Coordinate and oversee annual accounting policy and procedure reviews/updates.
• Actively monitor and communicate activities at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
• Drive GAAP and SAP research projects leveraging resources from functional groups within Finance.
• Monitor and coordinate activities related to records and information management policy and procedures within Finance.
• Responsible for quality control of quarterly and annual documents filed with the SEC and NAIC.
• Ensure company compliance with GAAP and SAP.
